Our Philosophy
warm-safe-Play-Based Childcare
warm-safe-Play-Based Childcare
Warm, Personalized, and Development-Focused Care , at Little Sunrise Daycare, we believe every child deserves individual attention, emotional safety, and a calm, nurturing environment where they can grow at their own pace.
Although California licensing allows home daycares to care for more children, we intentionally limit enrollment to only four.
This small-group structure is a fundamental part of our philosophy:
Exclusive, Personalized Care
Each child receives the attention they need to feel truly seen, supported, and understood. We tailor our approach to each child’s temperament, developmental stage, and emotional needs.
Attachment-Based, Gentle Care
We prioritize warm communication, secure relationships, and predictable daily routines that help children feel confident, safe, and loved.
Focused on Development
With fewer children, we can create meaningful learning moments and support each child’s social, emotional, cognitive, and motor development with intention and care.
Calm, Home-Like Environment A smaller group allows for peaceful interactions, reduced overwhelm, and more opportunities for open-ended play, curiosity, and exploration.
Strong Partnership with Families
Our intimate setting allows us to build close relationships with families and work together to support each child’s growth and well-being.
Why Only Four Children?
Because quality matters more than quantity.
By keeping our group small, we offer:
more individual attention
more emotional connection
more safety and supervision
more meaningful learning opportunities
more consistency and presence
Your child is never “just one of many.”
They are valued, nurtured, and cared for with genuine intention.

Hi, I’m Samantha Carlini, the provider and heart behind Little Sunrise Daycare.
Caring for children has always been a natural calling for me, and my greatest joy is creating a space where little ones feel safe, loved, and truly seen.
With over 7 years of experience caring for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers — both as a trusted nanny and within licensed daycare environments — I’ve had the privilege of supporting children through some of the most important stages of early development. Over these years, I’ve built strong bonds with families and gained deep insight into the emotional, physical, and learning needs of young children.
I am fully certified in early childhood safety and care, including:
Infant & Child CPR / First Aid
Preventive Health & Safety Practices
Mandated Reporter Training
All California-required childcare certifications
My approach is warm, respectful, and rooted in connection. I believe children thrive when they feel emotionally secure and guided with kindness. In my care, you will always see:
Gentle, respectful interactions
Positive discipline and clear, loving boundaries
Predictable routines that help children feel safe
Learning through play, curiosity, and exploration
Emotional understanding and support
Clear communication and partnership with families
My heart is fully dedicated to offering a calm, nurturing environment where each child can grow with confidence and joy.
Every child is welcomed here as a unique little sunrise, bringing light to our day.
